Apparently Tyson is running late -with running being the operative word. This 16 month old boy seems to always have somewhere to go and have something very important to do. We hit the open spaces of the church building the other day and off he went sprinting like his life depended on him getting to the other side in 5 seconds flat. What was so important?

When Man and Woman fight it can be a very scary thing. Especially when that man is me, and that woman is my wife Susie. I think that Susie is the only person in the world that can scare into silence during a fight. My mother wants to get tips from Susie cause over 32 years mum hasn’t managed it once. How can Susie achieve this silence? Well three things I think: Susie’s opinion of me matters more than anybody else’s in the world; I am so committed to try and use proper conflict resolution skills -to enable our marriage to be exceptional- that I double guess everything I am about to say; Susie argues without logic…that’s right, when she is running out of things to say she just says random stuff and I can’t follow along.
Babies definitely live by a different set of rules than adults do. I wish that I could get away with half of the things that my 10 month old son Tyson gets away with. Well it’s not even that he gets away with things; it’s that the things I would get in trouble for he gets cheered for. I can’t remember the last time that people cheered and clapped when I passed wind, burped or pooed in my nappy.
