Having Your Kids Pay Their Way

My boy has turned two today and is well and truly on the way to getting a job and paying board. He could at least start to do some chores around the house so I can put my feet up.

In actual fact, I am so committed to this idea that we have started to read him a book all about ‘chores’ where he has to say the word ‘chores’ and we make him say it over and over and over again.

We also get him to clear the table each day after meals. At this stage it’s not all that useful but it is all about slow and not so subtle training.

Well if we did hire him out then he would be able to pay board, so YES, we are hiring him out!
